Reflecting on our first spring of stewardship...

At Groundstar Vineyard, we believe wine is best shared—with friends, with purpose, and with the land that makes it all possible. As we reflect on our first spring as stewards of Groundstar Vineyard, we’re filled with gratitude for the unforgettable moments we’ve shared and the incredible people who’ve gathered with us in celebration and support of something greater. From hosting meaningful fundraisers to toasting under the stars with new and old friends, here’s a look back at three special events that brought our vineyard—and mission—to life.
The Wilderness Table by Los Padres ForestWatch
On May 4, we had the honor of hosting The Wilderness Table, a beautiful evening benefiting Los Padres ForestWatch (LPFW), an organization dedicated to protecting the wild landscapes of California’s Central Coast. Against the golden-hour backdrop of Goundstar vineyard in peak spring bloom, guests were invited to sip and mingle with freshly made organic cocktails by our neighbors at Rock 12 Distillery, along with rare vintage bubbles from the estate. A tour of the vineyard followed, where we shared about the role Biodynamic and regenerative viticulture plays in conservation and stewardship.
As the sun set, we gathered at a long communal table to enjoy a delicious seasonal meal prepared by Chef Jake O. Francis of Valley Piggery, paired with estate-grown and locally made organic and Biodynamic wines. Flying Goat Cellars, Native Bloom Winery, Amevive, and Solminer Wine Company were featured —including a very special pouring of Solminer's Condor Red Blend. Produced in collaboration with LPFW, 100% of profits from sales of this wine go to support the nonprofit.
It was more than a dinner—it was a call to stewardship, with inspiring words from ForestWatch leaders and heartfelt conversations about the land we all love. We’re proud to support the work they do to preserve the ecosystems that surround and sustain us.

GoGi Wines Private Wine Club Party
And of course, we couldn’t reflect on the season without mentioning the high-energy, joy-filled celebration we hosted for GoGi Wines, the beloved wine label founded by actor Kurt Russell. GoGi has sourced Pinot Noir from this vineyard since the very first barrel produced in partnership with Peter and Rebecca Work of Ampelos Cellars, and Groundstar Vineyard is honored continue as a core source for GoGi Wines. Their private club party at the estate brought together wine lovers from near and far for an evening of live music, dancing, delicious food, and—naturally—plenty of wine! The vineyard buzzed with laughter and good vibes as guests explored our grounds, tasted new releases, and soaked in the sunshine. It was a perfect reminder of why we do what we do: to create spaces where people come together and experience something memorable.

Gratitude + Looking Ahead
Each of these events reminded us how lucky we are to steward this land, and to open our doors to those who care about community, conservation, and of course—wine. Whether raising funds for environmental causes or simply celebrating life with music and a glass in hand, these gatherings are the heartbeat of Groundstar Vineyard.
