Community, Craftsmanship & Care for the Land
At Groundstar Vineyard, we farm with intention — for the vitality of the soil, the resilience of the ecosystem, and the clarity of what ultimately lands in the glass. These wines are crafted by a diverse community of winemakers who steward this fruit alongside us, translating our coastal site through their own voice, values, and vision. These are Groundstar-Grown wines — rooted in regenerative farming and brought to life through trusted partnerships.

Story of Soil
Winemaker Jessica Gasca of Story of Soil creates minimal-intervention, single-vineyard wines that reflect purity of fruit and place. Intuitive and precise, her craft is guided by practice, patience, and a deep respect for the vineyard. Look for transparent, lifted, and unmistakably site-driven expressions, shaped by the coastal influence and living soils of Groundstar Vineyard.

Native Bloom Winery
Native Bloom is rooted in minimal intervention and soulful expression. Winemaker Natalie Albertson's wines are vibrant, alive, and made to be shared — reflective of both the vitality of the fruit and the community that surrounds it. Her Groundstar-Grown bottlings emphasize freshness, drinkability, and connection.

Ashkahn Wines
Ashkahn Shahparnia brings thoughtful artistry and depth to Groundstar fruit and his recently released Groundstar Vineyard Pinot Noir, harvested from a special section of Pommard clone vines in the heart of Groundstar Vineyard, is no exception. We love the colorful pomegranate label, which sets a perfect tone for the ripe, velvety and enchanting expression of Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir to follow. Produced in extremely small quantities.

GoGi Wines
Founded by the actor Kurt Russel, GoGi Wines has worked with this vineyard for years, long before it became Groundstar, crafting Burgundian-inspired Pinot Noirs that reflect a shared commitment to excellence. Kurt Russell and his winemaking collaborators bring a thoughtful, hands-on approach to every vintage, shaping approachable yet refined wines that both craft and character.

Flying Goat Cellars
Our cool coastal climate and vibrant fruit make Groundstar a natural home for sparkling wine. Winemaker Norm Yost of Flying Goat Cellars has a long history of producing exceptional bubbles from the Sta Rita Hills and beyond, and we were thrilled to discover a stash of 2019 vintage estate Blanc de Noirs available to release under the Groundstar label. Made by traditional method and aged to perfection in the cellar, our debut 2019 Groundstar Blanc de Noirs captures both brightness and depth — shaped by patience, acidity, and place.
This limited release will soon be available to subscribers.
Ampelos Cellars
Ampelos Cellars is woven into the very origins of this site. What is now Groundstar Vineyard was once Ampelos — a pioneering vineyard that helped lead the Sta. Rita Hills toward organic and Biodynamic farming. Founders and winemakers Peter and Rebecca Work’s legacy lives on through a deep commitment to community, and in crafting wines that convey their enduring passion for place, people, and the pleasure of wine.
